Lomax Recording Project

Hello! I just wanted to share this website with the Shape Note community – Shape Note Search at culturalequality.org. I went to www.culturalequality.org and started looking things up after hearing this story on npr.

I’m currently listening to songs sung at the 56th Annual Sacred Harp Convention in Alabama September 1959.

The website has a wealth of folk music from all around the world. I highly recommend exploring it and looking at a beautiful recording of the history of the music we sing and so much more!
